Duration: 2 years

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two-year postgraduate programme that provides advanced professional training in software development, system design, and emerging computing technologies for graduates with foundational backgrounds in computing or mathematics. Students engage with advanced programming, software engineering practices, enterprise application development, distributed systems, cloud architectures, cybersecurity principles, artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, and mobile computing, culminating in a major software development project or industry internship that ensures both technical depth and professional experience.

As digital transformation accelerates across banking, healthcare, retail, government services, and manufacturing, organisations require technology professionals capable of designing and building complex, scalable, and secure software systems — and the MCA delivers exactly this depth. Graduates pursue roles as senior software engineers, full-stack developers, data engineers, cloud architects, solutions consultants, and technical project managers across Indian and multinational technology companies. Many also transition into management information systems roles in large enterprises, pursue doctoral research in computing, or leverage the degree for GATE-qualified M.Tech. positions and research fellowships.
